Determining and Activating the Role of Hajj Missions

The pilgrims of each Muslim country and community are represented by a Hajj mission that arrives in the Kingdom before the beginning of each season in order to negotiate with the Ministry of Hajj matters related to the number of their prospective pilgrims and to the organization of the service provided to them, in terms of reception, transport, accommodation and departure.

The Ministry of Hajj sees to it that such missions are not converted into service sectors that compete with the Saudi national establishments, that their role is confined to coordination, cooperation and contracting with the Saudi service establishments, and that they provide only those services of a nature that is characteristic of their respective pilgrims, which services cannot be provided by a national establishment.

The Ministry will also see to it that the missions practice their role in securing accommodation for their respective pilgrims in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, through the National Tawafa Establishments and the National Guides Establishment, not directly through the landlords.
